At a KS1 level children only need to know four types of handling data, and these are :

bar charts

tally charts

line graphs

Venn diagrams

Children tend to find Venn diagrams and tally charts the more difficult of the four types. So it is advised that a lot of practice is done with these until the child becomes familiar and confident applying them to questions.
